TASOU ASSOCIATES CELEBRATING ANOTHER AWARD NOD FOR REFURB OF HISTORIC CAMDEN WAREHOSE

Mon 15 Jul 2019

Our recent transformation of 9 Jeffrey’s Place, Camden has been recognised in the AJ Retrofit Awards, with a shortlisting in the ‘offices under 2000 sqm’ category.

The awards, run by Architects’ Journal magazine, are the leading industry event to celebrate design, engineering and construction excellence that prolongs and improves the life of the built environment. With categories spanning buildings for sectors including housing, retail and education as well as office space, the awards attract high quality entries from all over the country.

Our scheme for this site saw us revitalise a 19th century warehouse in a Camden Conservation Area. The result was a design that was complementary to the building’s historic fabric and function, while creating a modern workspace with light, uncluttered interiors.

We’re very proud that the way we approached the refurbishment of 9 Jeffrey’s Place has been endorsed in these high-profile awards. It is fantastic to see our work recognised alongside entries from some of the best-known practices in the sector.  We have long been committed to thoughtful design that allows us to both give fresh life to historic commercial and residential buildings and hold on to what makes them so special.

We, and our client BTU Group, are thrilled to receive this commendation, just a few weeks after our work on Jeffrey's Place was recognised in the AJ Small Projects Awards.
